The Christmas Day Edit

What to drink with Turkey? Go for a Pinot Noir or a Chardonnay from Burgundy. These also work well with vegetarian mushroom based dishes.

What to drink with Beef? Choose a Saint Emilion Grand Cru or a Malbec from Argentina. Also good with richer vegetarian mains such as nut roasts or cheese based dishes.

What to drink with Fish & Seafood? Choose a Muscadet, Gruner or a Pouilly Fumé Sauvignon.

What to drink with Mushrooms? Choose a Cabernet Franc from the Loire or a Valpolicella - lighter, earthier reds will bring out the flavours of the mushroom.

What to drink with Goats Cheese and nuts? A Sauvignon Blanc or a Chenin Blanc always work well with goats cheese and nut dishes - but either could also take a lighter red - perhaps a Beaujolais or a Cabernet Franc.

What to drink with Xmas pudding? Nothing better than a glass of dessert wines to bring out the flavours of the fruit.

What to drink with blue cheese such as stilton? Our favourite has to be a Coteaux du Layon - sweet enough to cut through the salt of the cheese but with a fresh finish.

Don't forget the fizz - check out our sparkling wines and Champagne and add a bottle to your box!
