Gevrey-Chambertin is one of the villages of Burgundy's famous Cote de Nuits. The wines from this area are known for their firm rich structure, velvety tannins and delicate texture making them among the most popular in the region. This is a fine example that is superb to drink now but has plenty of longevity and will keep for up to 30 years.

Jacques Marchand, his daughter Marion and son Etienne are fifth and sixth generation winemakers in the village of Gevrey, in the heart of the Cote de Nuits in Burgundy. Grapes are from 40 year old vines and no chemicals are used in the traditional viticulture practised by the family. Every grape that goes into this wine is hand selected before going through a cold maceration for 8 days before fermentation. This helps ensure that all the flavour, structure and elegance of the grape is maintained throughout the process.

Bright, dark red with a clear, powerful blackberry nose and hints of coffee. Smooth, consistent palate with dark berries and chocolate and a long, complex, finish with sweet, ripe tannins. Can be aged for up to 30 years.
