This wonderful vintage is a really exceptional Barolo that offers exceptional value for money for a wine of this calibre - made by the uber talented Renata at Dacapo.

"Rich, fruity with lots of spice."

"Proper Barolo. Good price and service."

Grapes grown on 30 year old vines in Serralunga d’Alba using the guyot growing system at an altitude of 400m, south/south west facing so grapes have fantastic exposure to the sun. This is a fully organic vineyard producing chemical free wine with all the flavour of the terroir. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 2 years and undergoes malolactic fermentation.

Deep garnet red with violet hue. Complex and intense with dark fruit, mocha, mint, pine and spice aromas with liquorice and cinnamon undertones. Packs a fruity punch with plenty of chocolate, spice and hints of tobacco on the palate. Long, spicy finish. A rare gem.
