Beautiful Barolo

Grapes grown on 30 year old vines in Serralunga d’Alba using the guyot growing system at an altitude of 400m, south/south west facing so grapes have fantastic exposure to the sun. This is a fully organic vineyard producing chemical free wine with all the flavour of the terroir. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 2 years and undergoes malolactic fermentation.
Deep garnet red with violet hue. Complex and intense with dark fruit, mocha, mint, pine and spice aromas with liquorice and cinnamon undertones. Packs a fruity punch with plenty of chocolate, spice and hints of tobacco on the palate. Long, spicy finish. A rare gem.
About the vineyard
This naturally cultivated vineyard using sustainable agriculture in NW Piemonte, Italy, is run by the indomitable winemaker Renata Bonacina. She produces fabulous, personality-driven wines that focuses on finesse, elegance and terroir. One of our trademark wines with a heart and soul.
