Manuel Isla tends his 50 year old vines in the heart of La Mancha, on the south bank of the river Cigüela, 62m above sea level. The calcareous soil helps give the grapes their true expression of the terroir. Temperature controlled fermentation with no oak.
In the glass
Deep, cherry red colour with an elegant floral, red berry nose and a well-balanced cherry and plum palate with savoury notes of fresh tobacco leaf and leather with rounded tannins leading to a soft, fruity finish.
Great taste and great value - it has become our go to red wine and Wine at Home have become the go to place for all our wine. They have a well-selected range, their customer service is spot on and the delivery is super speedy.
What a lovely review - thank you! We believe that it's almost impossible to find such a great quality wine at this price point - the growers are so committed and a joy to work with too! So glad you like it.
