Very pleased to represent this very small family grower of extremely high quality white Burgundy. Claire and Gabriel Fournier work their 45 year old vines on a tiny plot of only 0.35 hectares and vines produce low yields of intense flavoured fruit. Every grape is hand selected at perfect maturity and again on the sorting tables. No use of chemicals at any stage. They use traditional vilification methods including French oak barrels for ageing (with only 20% of the wine aged in new oak).
In the glass
Bright gold colour with a delicate rosebud, white and dried fruit nose. A pleasingly concentrated citrus palate with complex round candied fruit aromas and a buttery touch. Rich body with soft tannin and a surprisingly fresh finish.
