In the glass
Deep ruby colour with tons of expressive fruit on the nose. Powerful, wild cherry palate with a toasty character and hints of chocolate. Finishes with a bang before giving way to long lingering fruit.
Drinking extremely well, and made by the well known Mathieu Laboureau on the border between La Cotes de Nuits and La Cote de Beaune. Traditional, organic methods used to produce this stunning wine and all the work on the vines is carried out by hand. The wine is aged for 15 months in oak, with 30% in new oak.
About the vineyard
We love working with Matthieu Laboureau who follows in his family tradition as winemakers since 1640. Sustainably farmed, 35-year-old vines produce the grapes for his perfect Pinot Noirs. All the work on the vines is carried out by hand, and grapes selected on the sorting table before traditional vinification at this renowned vineyard.
