After a period of learning and working at vineyards across the old and new world, Sandra Combat has been at the helm of her family vineyard for the last 5 years, producing wines of exceptional quality and elegance, while making a name for herself as a grower to watch.
In the glass
Vivid ruby colour with floral (violet prominent), wild black berries and spice on the nose. Concentrated ripe black cherry, plum and blackberry palate with hints of olive and chocolate and a little spice. Elegant, well-balanced with soft tannins and a complex finish.
"Fruity and elegant wine for special occasions."
"Cote du Rhone with a lot of freshness and fruit."
Sandra Combat is making impressive strides with her glorious vintage made from three small plots at the foot of Mercurol using low-intervention, natural farming.
The vines are trained to the great height of 2m in order to capture the light and hard debuting is carried out to guarantee the best aeration as well as stripping in early September to optimise the maturity of the grape.
