Laurent and Karen Boussey use organic, biodynamic farming on their tiny half hectare vineyard in the village of Pommard, in South West Beaune. Exceptionally low yields, producing only 1500 bottles each year.

In the glass

Deep red wine with dark purple hints. Plenty of black berry fruit on the nose, undercut with cherry stone and hints of chocolate. The fruit continues to the palate with blackberries and blueberries at the fore and undertones of leather and pepper. Beautifully ripe tannins with well rounded, concentrated fruit on the finish.

All the work on the vines is carried out by hand with minimal intervention to preserve the environment. Grapes grown on 60 year old vines and vinified using natural yeast. The vineyard is ploughed in the traditional way and no chemicals are used at any stage. The wine is aged in French oak for between 12 and 24 months depending on the year.
