This organic vineyard is at altitude in the Tuscan hills using all of the 4 classic Chianti grapes, including the traditional use of white grapes which provide the necessary acidity and structure to the wine, without the need of additives. Something uncommon in most modern Chianti!
Pomegranate and ruby red with an intense, persistent nose characterised by hints of violet and rich black and red cherries. Balanced, well-structured, good tannins and satisfying mouth feel.
About the vineyard
Tenuta Maiano is one of those vineyards that every importer hopes to find. The Nigi family are so committed to their land and their wine that they continually go the extra mile to produce one of the finest Chianti in the region. Fully organic for decades - the are constantly looking at ways to increase the eco diversity and to protect and preserve the delicate ecosystem. Their snail logo on their labels symbolises to them everything about the beauty of moving slowly through the world.

We charge £7.95 for all deliveries to the UK Mainland for fewer than 12 bottles.Please get in touch about delivery charges outside of the UK Mainland.Delivery is free for 12 bottles or more.We only sell in cases of 6 bottles,unless otherwise specified. If your order is missing or damaged, we will send a replacement or offer a full refund. Non-fine wine under £40 that is corked or faulty can be returned for credit within 6 months of purchase. Fine wine is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. You have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund within 14 days of receiving the goods. You must inform us of your decision to cancel and arrange for the goods to be returned in a saleable condition. Refunds are issued via the original payment method.
