Rosé de Provence is one of those classics where it pays to get it right. We are thrilled to represent one of the best in the region which is not only highly rated - but possibly the best rosé you 'll taste this year. Worth every penny.
Score of 90/100 from the world wine expert Robert Parker
Elevated Rosé wine that is on a par with some of the world's finest wines. More than an everyday summer tipple, this fully organic, elegant Rosé is made in the same style and the same place as some of the most famous Provence Rosé wines - but with a more affordable price tag.
How it's made
This elegant Rosé is from the same terroir as the most prestigious of all Provence Rosé at Bandol. It is made with the same grapes, including the well-known Mourvèdre. Vines are farmed with a low yield (30hl/ha) in a biological, organic conversion, certified vineyard, located on the hillside of the medieval village of Le Castellet and close to the sea. All the plots are in terraces. The land is ploughed without weed killers or fertilizers and there are no systematic treatments or insecticides. Manual harvest takes place during the night to retain all the freshness of the grapes.
In the glass
Traditional, pale pink Provence colour. Complex aromas of peach, apricot, almonds with citrus notes. Clean and elegant intense fruit with a fresh spicy finish. Wonderful wine all year round, with fish and seafood, tapas, lightly spiced dishes and of course, all by itself.
We recommend serving it a little less cold than usual rosé at about 12 degrees so that it develops its own authentic typcity in the glass. Exceptional value for a wine of this quality.
