How its made
Villa Vitas, in the picturesque medeival village of Strassoldo, has been in the same family for over 100 years - and they remain passionately dedicated to the art of winemaking. The grapes are harvested between the end of August and the beginning of September and, after de-stemming and crushing, are fermented at low temperature before remaining on the lees for a while before filtering and bottling. This provides a real depth of flavour and superb structure to the wine.
In the glass
Straw yellow colour with a fine, intense nose dominated by apple, hay and almond. Typical, slightly bitter notes on the palate that combine with orchard fruit, grassy flavours for a highly refreshing, persistent finish.
