What does Reserva mean on a Rioja label?
Selected Red wines of the best vintages with an excellent potential that have been aged for a minimum of 3 years, with at least one year in casks. At the Reserva level, winemakers often age their wines longer than the minimum and select better grapes which is the case with this 2016 vintage from Rioja Alta. Many Rioja wine enthusiasts choose Reserva over other options, because they strike a good balance between the super fruity Crianza and more oakey-bottle-aged Gran Reserva.
About the vineyard
Close to the village of Azofra in the Rioja Alta, this prestigious family owned winery have worked the land here for six generations.
