Deep plum fruit with earthy undertones and smooth tannins
A symphony of cherry, stone fruit, hints of dried flower and spice
A long, harmonious finish
100% hand harvested Gamay grapes are produced using organic farming methods without the use of chemical pesticides. The Bodillard family have worked these south facing plots for 5 generations and their work on the vine is exceptional. The vines are bush trained in goblet form, to best respect the environment. The grapes are picked in bunches which are put whole into the vat to undergo carbonic maceration before spending 17 days at a low temperature in the vat. After the pressing, the wine is aged in barrels for 10 months. No addition of sulphites before bottling.
The Bodillard family have run this small, organic family vineyard in the heart of Beaujolais for five generations, in harmony with the land around them.
