Delicate white flowers, orchard fruit aromas with a toasty biscuit finish
Perfect alternative to Champagne
Customer Favourite
Château du Fresne is a stand out vineyard in the Loire Valley. Grower David Maugin uses traditional methods to produce this wonderfully elegant wine filled with fine, delicate bubbles, achieved in part by ageing the wine on its lees for 36 months. The work that goes into producing this classic Crémant is evident in the drinking. Grapes are hand harvested and carried in small crates to avoid damage, and the wine goes through a second fermentation ‘sur lattes’ as well as artisanal stirring and disgorgement - exactly like a Champagne.
