One of the oldest family vineyards in the Muscadet appellation and one of the very best. Raphael Luneau uses traditional methods, hand harvests grapes grown on 75 year old vines at full ripeness and selects only the best for vinification. Slow fermentation in underground vats and aged on the lees. ‘Sur lie’.
In the glass
Yellow gold colour, expressive, iodised, quince and ginger nose with a fresh attack and a complex mix of dried and candied fruit on the palate. Long finish with hints of spice and honey alongside superb minerality and good expression of the terroir.
Pair with lobster, crab, shellfish stews or rich mushroom dishes - particularly good with morels and full flavoured foods.
