Menetou-Salon Blanc Les Chamblins AOC 2022, Domaine Raimbault Pineau
This well known Loire white is said to be one of the oldest in the region - and is adjacent to Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé. This fine example comes from a single plot, worked by Sonia Raimbault at her family vineyard.
Sonia has been working her family vineyard since she can remember and now shares the tasks with her own children - who are the 13th generation to do so.
In the glass
Light, fresh and lively. Lots of delicate floral aromas and a bright, fruity palate and refreshing finish.
Tiny plot in the heart of the appellation of Mentou-Salon. Well exposed for sunlight and yet protected from the wind. The wine is fermented at low temperatures and matured on fine lees until bottling to provide all that lovely elegance associated with these wines.
About the vineyard
Four centuries of the same family have farmed this beautiful vineyard on the slopes of Sancerre in the Loire Valley.
