Grapes are harvested manually with a double sorting of the bunches in both the field and the cellar. Half the wine spends 8 months in 25 ltr Slavonian oak barrels, a quarter in stainless steel and the remaining quarter in traditional amphora. Chianti Montalbano DOCG is considered to be the true expression of the Chianti region and the work on both the vines and in the cellars marks this out as one to watch.

Bright red colour with a bright bouquest of wild cherry and red berry fruit. Soft and enveloping tannins are balanced by a pleasing freshness, so typical of the best of this DOCG. The freshness persists into the long, elegant and ultimately fruit forward finish.
