Best red wines for Mulled Wine

These good value, fruity reds are perfect for making Mulled wine. Use a Mulled Wine sachet, or pop in a cinnamon stick, a few cloves, a grate of nutmeg and some slices of fresh orange. Add sugar or honey to taste and simmer without bringing to the boil - unless you prefer to boil away the alcohol. For an extra kick, add a splash of Grappa or Brandy to the mix just before serving.
