Fresh and zingy. Small production from only 2.5 hectares of land
Grassy, citrus aromas with a fresh attack and blackcurrant leaf overtones
Long, crisp and lemony finish

Made by Tony Martin at his family vineyard, where they've been using traditional, low intervention methods since the 19th century. Grapes are hand harvested and only the best are selected on sorting tables. After a short maceration, the wine is vinified in an air-free environment before being aged on lees for four months with regular stirring (batonage) to provide roundness and body.

About the vineyard

Tony Martin took over the family vineyard around 5 years ago. although still works with his parents in developing this small, sustainable HVE certified Bordeaux terroir that has been in their family since the 1970s. The Chateau La Croix du Grand Jard is their signature Claret and highly recommended for a fruit forward bordeaux at an excellent price.
