Organic Gavi from the well known vineyards of Tenuta San Pietro. Made in small batches, from handpicked grapes - every bottle is numbered. A perfect example of this light and floral Italian classic.
Produced in an organic, biodynamic vineyard in the beautiful Tessarolo hills, 300m above sea level, this is one of stand out white wines and not to be missed. Each year we are allocated a small number of bottles from this limited production.
Grapes are hand harvested in mid September when they reach full maturity - and are full of ripe fruit flavour. They are crushed extremely softly and fermented slowly at low temperatures using indigenous yeast. The wine is only very lightly filtered.
Peach, apricot, floral nose with a bright and lively attack. White flowers, peach and pineapple palate with good mineralogy and a long, complex and persistent finish. Extremely well balanced.
About the vineyard
Stunning organic, biodynamic vineyard in the hills of Tessarolo in Piemonte, run by the Cabella family. We are extremely privileged to work with one of the region's best producers whose Gavi is a perfect example of the elegance and finesse of the Cortese grape.
