Set in the stunning landscape of the Rhone Valley, North of Nimes and not far from the village of Uzes, the Famille Montescaud comprise a group of small wine growers noted for the quality of their grapes and their stewardship of the terroir. Their wines are personality-driven, fruit forward and have unsurprisingly garnered both attention and awards. Delightfully easy to drink but with a finesse rarely found in wines at this price point.

"Please include in our next subscription box again. Really enjoyed this wine which is smooth and spicy without being too tannic."

"Round, spicy and lovely to drink."

Absolute attention to detail is the secret to this wine's success. Grapes are harvested by plot and vinified separately. Grapes have low yields and only picked at optimum ripeness - warmed by the long hours of sunshine. Traditional methods are used to make the wine including long maceration to extract all the flavours of the fruit.

Dark red fury colour with a harmonious, expressive ripe red fruit nose with lots of blueberry and black pepper notes. Silky, fruity and round with a smooth, spicy finish.
