Stone fruits, meadow flowers and a lingering, refreshing finish
One of our favourite wines to pair with spicy food and curries as well as fresh fish
Maria and her husband Harald Rauen took over this 4th generation estate of 13 hectares in 1990. The 60-year-old vines grow on the steep slopes of Middle Mosel and rival the best in the area for their delicacy, minerality and wonderful wildflower flavours. Grapes are hand-picked in mid-October and gently crushed before macerating for 4 hours on the berry skins. Gentle expansion on the lees provides a really fine, fruity character.
