In the glass
Beautiful golden brown colour with a nose of fine spice, hints of berries, dried figs and plums. Smooth, elegant, orange marmalade, pear and apricot confit on the palate with a touch of caramel and hazelnut. Long, ample finish, full of fruit and spice.
Boutique Grappa, made in Piemonte, Italy from 100% Barbera grapes grown on 30 year old vines, using only the best quality grape skins from a specific plot in one of the finest vineyards in the Monferrato hills.
During distillation, only the head steam is kept to preserve the complexity of the original grape aromas. Aged for 8 years in cask and a further 2 years in used Port barrels from the Douro valley.
About the vineyard
Family run high end vineyard and lemon farm in the Monferrato Hills, in the Italian region of Piemonte. The Barbera grapes are specially selected to make high end small batch Grappas and the family also make a superb Limoncino from their own grown organic lemons.
