"Bowled over by the quality of this wine (and many of the others on this website, but this is our favourite). Superb service and very efficient. Thoroughly recommend!"

Fabre Montmayou pioneered the making of single varietal wine from Malbec grapes with 45-year-old vines, grapes hand-harvested and transported in trays to the cellar to avoid damage. Fermentation with natural yeast and a 30-day maceration period before being aged for 12 months in French oak.

Deep Malbec red with a light purple rim. Complex black pepper, blackcurrant, nutmeg, vanilla and paprika nose with a sweet morello cherry, liquorice, spice and chocolate palate. Beautifully well balanced. Persistent, elegant finish with smooth tannins. Steak or chocolate? You choose.
