This bestselling full and fruity red is made by the Palmisano family use the sapling and espalier system of cultivation on their 70-year-old vines which are cooled by the sea breezes of Salento. Traditional, ancestral farming methods, no chemicals are used in the production of this classic red. Grapes are hand-harvested and selected, destemmed, pressed and carried onto the tanks. Vinification with temperature control around 6-8 days after pumping. Malolactic fermentation, no oak and bottling after light filtration. Italian sunshine in a glass.
About the vineyard
The Palmisano family farm their stunning hillside vineyards in Puglia with no chemicals and only natural yeasts. They really seem to have the magic touch and both their red Primitivo and White Gratia Plena are among our bestselling wines.
