Deep pink hue with raspberry glints. Fresh, floral and red fruit nose that continues onto the palate. The wine obtains its colour from maceration with the grape skins to obtain the perfect pink, typical of the region.
Louis Tramier started this prestigious Burgundy house in 1842 and it remains in the same family. This delicious blend of Gamay, Grenache & Cinsault is made from grapes grown on 40-year-old vines, close to the village of Mercurey in the heart of the appellation. The vineyard has a demonstrable interest in protecting and preserving the environment and reducing their carbon footprint to the minimum - including using 99% recycled paper in their packaging, limiting shipments and conserving water and electricity.
About the vineyard
Louis Tramier's 1842 Burgundy House just goes from strength to strength. The 40 year old vines are close to the well-known village of Mercurey in the heart of the appellation and traditional methods retained to produce wines of wonderful flavour and balance.
